Heaven Hill Distillery was founded in 1935 by the Shapira family in Kentucky, USA, and is one of America's most important whiskey distilleries. Heaven Hill remains independently family-owned, dedicated to preserving and promoting the tradition and history of American whiskey, with a commitment to quality and continuous innovation. Today, Heaven Hill Distillery maintains an inventory of over 1.3 million aging bourbon barrels across 55 different warehouses in Nelson and Jefferson counties—the very heartland of bourbon production. This is where internationally renowned bourbons and whiskeys are crafted, including Elijah Craig Bourbon, Larceny Wheat Bourbon, Evan Williams Bourbon, Pikesville Rye Whiskey, Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey, and Parker's Heritage Collection. Heaven Hill Distillery was honored as Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2016, and its whiskey was named American Whisky of the Year by Whisky Advocate in 2016. Additionally, it received the prestigious title of Best Rye Whisky in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2016.
