Auchnagie Distillery, later known as Tullymet, was a historic Highland single malt whisky producer nestled in the rural heart of Perthshire, Scotland. Operating from 1812 to 1911 near the hamlet of Tulliemet, just six miles southeast of Pitlochry, this lost distillery exemplified the traditional farm distillery model of 19th-century Scotland. Drawing pure water from the surrounding highland springs and utilizing locally grown barley, Auchnagie crafted unpeated Highland malt characterized by delicate floral notes, heather honey, ripe orchard fruits, and warm malted biscuit tones. Today, remaining bottles represent rare collectibles, offering whisky connoisseurs a tangible connection to Scotland's lost distilling heritage and the authentic character of pre-industrial whisky craftsmanship.
