Kanosuke Distillery commenced operations in 2018 in Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, nestled along the pristine Fukiage-hama coastline. Operated by Komasa Jozo, a distinguished shochu producer with over 130 years of distilling heritage, the distillery represents a seamless fusion of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern whisky innovation. Its coastal location imparts a unique maritime character to its spirits, while its three pot stills—including a distinctive onion-shaped still—enable precise flavor control. Kanosuke has rapidly gained recognition for its elegant, fruit-forward single malts that embody the essence of Kagoshima's natural environment.
