Mackinlay's Whisky, founded in 1815 by Charles Mackinlay in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a historic Scotch whisky brand with a remarkable six-generation legacy. The company began producing blended whisky in 1867 under the second generation and earned the distinguished honor of being served at the British Parliament for official state functions. Mackinlay's gained international fame when cases of their rare 1907 whisky were discovered intact in Antarctica from Sir Ernest Shackleton's 1907-1909 Nimrod expedition, leading to a meticulous recreation of the historic expression. Now owned by Whyte & Mackay, the brand continues to produce premium blended Scotch whiskies including Mackinlay's Legacy and Mackinlay's Rare Old Highland Malt, celebrated for their smooth character, honeyed notes, and exceptional craftsmanship.
