Inchfad
Inchfad is a heavily peated single malt whisky brand launched by Loch Lomond Distillery in 2006, named after a closed distillery that once formed part of the Loch Lomond group. The series represents the distillery's experimental foray into robust peat smoke expressions while retaining their signature fruity distillate character. Each official bottling (OB) is released exclusively as a single cask, showcasing the unique straight neck pot still distillation method that Loch Lomond employs. While distillation commenced around 2000, the brand enjoyed only a brief market presence from 2006 to 2009, rendering these releases highly sought-after among collectors. The whisky typically exhibits bold peat smoke balanced with soft sweet fruit notes, predominantly matured in ex-bourbon casks. Its limited production run and distinctive heavily peated Highland profile have made Inchfad a cult favorite among peat enthusiasts.
