Stará Rye Myslivecká is a distinctive Czech spirit with a rich heritage dating back to the 16th century. This traditional rye distillate represents one of Bohemia's oldest guarded recipes, passed down through generations of master distillers. Crafted from premium Czech rye, the spirit undergoes a unique double-maturation process. Initially, the pristine rye distillate rests for three years in carefully selected European white oak casks, developing its foundational character. It is then blended with natural extracts of hand-picked dried fruits and transferred to American white oak barrels for an additional year of finishing. This four-year journey creates an exceptionally smooth spirit with a subtle whiskey-like character. Tasting notes reveal warm orchard fruits—ripe apricot, candied orange peel, and stewed apple—layered over classic rye spice, honeyed vanilla, and toasted oak. The finish is long and elegant, with a delicate balance between grain sweetness and dried fruit complexity.
