Among all Japanese whiskies, one stands out for its originality and mystery: Togouchi. Since 1918, Chugoku Jozo, located near Hiroshima, has been renowned for fruit liqueurs, sake, and shochu—most notably Matsuyama shochu. As early as the last century, the company decided to venture into blended whisky production. More precisely, the distillery does not distill whisky itself, but instead imports malt whisky directly from Scotland and grain whisky from Canada, performing only aging and blending operations.
