An Irish expatriate in Finland, Seamus Holohan was determined to create Finnish whisky. The idea was born a decade ago at a Midsummer party with his two Finnish business partners—Kai Kilpinen and master distiller Mikko Mykkänen. Today, Helsinki Distilling Company (HDCO) is the first distillery established in the Finnish capital in over a century.
