Defulai is a whiskey brand under Henan Jingde Wine Industry Co., Ltd. The name "Defulai" carries a profound Chinese essence and embodies the Jingde people's aspirations and blessings for Chinese whiskey. Henan Jingde Wine Industry was previously renowned for beer and brewing equipment production, yet had no whiskey-making experience. Witnessing domestic and international whiskey markets dominated by European and American brands, the Jingde team believed: if we could excel in domestic beer, we could certainly master domestic whiskey! Thus, establishing a homegrown whiskey brand was initiated. With this conviction, under the personal leadership of Chairman Ni Fenfei, the R&D team embarked on study tours to Scotland, the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and other regions. They assessed technical feasibility, carefully researched distillation equipment suitable for sustainable industrial development, and formulated a flavor profile tailored to Chinese palates. Thus, Defulai whiskey took its first arduous step and gradually built its reputation.
