Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a wee dram last night 🥃. Nose was proper nice, hint of honey and maybe some citrus🍋. Taste? Warmth hits you straight away. Defintely some oak and smoke, but not overpowering. Finish lingers quite awhile, makes you wanna sit by the fire. Proper comforting stuff on a rainy day 🌧️. Could drink this all evening tbh. Alrite quality.

First sip, oh crikey, this is smoky as anything! 😤 Got that rich, malty sweetness coming through, like a good old fruit cake. 🍰 Then a bit of vanilla and caramel, innit? Smooth and warm. Hints of apple and a spicy kick at the end. Lovely jubbly! 🥃👍 Sometimes a bit oaky, but that's the charm, ain't it? Right proper dram for a chilly evening. 🌧️😊

3#3

Ahh, that's a proper good one, innit? Got a real smoky vibe, like a campfire on the moors, 🔥 and then some sweet fruity bits, maybe apple or pear? 🍏 Bit of spice too, kinda peppery, but smooth as anything. Really warms you up, like. 😊 No nasty aftertaste, just leaves ya with this mellow, honeyed finish. Sometimes it's a bit peaty, you know, earthy? 🌿 But not too strong, just enough to make it interesting. Perfect for a quiet night in, deffo.

Hmm, bit of a mess here but let's give it a go... Nose: lovelly wiff of peat and caramel, kinda smoky like a bonfire 🔥 Taste: proper oak and vanilla, a bit of sherry sweetness comin through Finish: long and warmin, with a hint of spice 🥃 Not bad at all, nice dram for a chilly evening.

5#5

Right, so first hit is that proper Islay peat smoke – like a beach bonfire, wet driftwood. 💨 Get some salty sea air, almost like seaweed, then a bit of citrus orange peel underneath. Then it softens, yeah? Vanilla, malt sweetness, maybe a hint of nutmeg. Medium finish, smoky but not overpowering. Def a coastal dram, that. Wouldn't say it's too harsh, probs good for a rainy afternoon. 🌧️
