Ben Nevis 1999 11 Years Single Malt Whisky

Aye, this dram’s pure cosy like. Sticky honey on warm soda bread, stewed apples, and a proper waft of vanilla custard. 🍮 Bit of that cinnamon swirl and a whisper of woodsmoke right at the back. Palate’s dead silky – caramel wafers, overripe pear, maybe a nudge of milk chocolate. The oak’s ther but it’s soft, not shouty. Finish has a gentle prickle of ginger snap and that lovely malty biscuit note. Coats yer mouth, leaves ye wantin another sip straight off. Cracking stuff. 😌🥃

There's a fresh touch of apple and maybe some citrus peel hiding in there too. Palate is where it gets interesting. You get that malty sweetness again, but now there's a cracking hit of smoke, not too heavy, more like a distant bonfire. A little woody spice comes through, and a hint of something nutty. Finish is medium length, warming. That smoky note lingers with a final touch of sweet, dried fruit. Quite moorish, really. A solid, comforting dram for a quiet night in. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
