Caol Ila 2011 7 Years Single Malt Whisky

Blimey, this whisky's got a real nice aroma. 🥃 I'm gettin' hints of honey and oak, with a bit of smoke on the nose. On the tongue, it's smooth, almost creamy, with a touch of spice and maybe some fruit. 😋 The finish is warm and lingerin', like a cozy blanket on a cold day. Really lovely stuff, proper treat for the senses. 👍 A bit of caramal and vanilla come through too, makes it quite moreish. Cheers! 🥂

Phew, that's a proper dram! Nose: Get loads of toffee apple first, then maybe some stewed fruits, like a warm crumble. 🔥 Quite malty too, like fresh bread crust. Palate: Creamy! Butterscotch, maybe even a bit of vanilla custard. Then comes this lovely spicy kick - ginger, clove? It's warming for sure. 🌶️ Finish: Long and drying, with some oaky wood notes coming through. Leaves a hint of dark chocolate on the tongue. Very moreish. Properly autumnal, this one. Makes me want a comfy armchair. 😌
