Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right then, poured myself a bit of this tonight. 🥃 Warmth hits you straight away, proper nice. Taste is a bit all over the plce honestly. Sweet at first, then kinda spicy? 🌶️ Reminds me of old leather and maybe some dried fruit hidin in the backround. Finish lingers on the tonge quite a while. Not sure what else to say, but it feels cosy. Like sitting by the fire on a rainy day. 🌧️ Cheers. 🍻

Oh blimey, this whisky's a bit of a ride! 😅 First off, a whiff of smoke and sweet stuff – kinda like a campfire with toffee apples. 🍬🔥 On the tongue, it's all smooth and warm, with a cheeky hint of spice. 🌶️ Leaves you feelin' proper cosy, like a hug in a glass. 🤗 Fruit notes pop up too – maybe a bit of orange or summat. 🍊 Bloody lovely, that! Perfect for a rainy British eve. 🌧️🥃

Nose: kinda smoky, bit of honey 🍯, wet grass maybe? Palate: oh wow, swt vanilla to start then BAM 🔥 peat n' spice! Super oily, chewy mouthfeel. Finish: long, warmin', hints of dried fruit an' oak. Gets a lil' dry at the end but in a nice way 👍 Overall: it's proper robust, like a campfire in a forest 🌲. Real comfortin' dram for a rainy day.

Aright, so... poured a dram of this. 🥃 On the noze, first thing... it's like a bonfire, you know? That smoky, kinda... peaty thing. 🔥 Then underneath, some sweetness comes through. Maybe a bit of... toffee apple? Or is it honey... 🍯 Takes a bit of water, opens up nice. On the palate, it's smooth, noy too harsh. More of that woody spice... cinnamon? 🍂 Finish is long, warming, leaves a kinda... dry, spicey feeling. 👍 Quite enjoyble, espeshally on a cold evening.

Nose: Gots a whiff of vanilla an' a bit o' honey, like a cozy kitchen on a Sunday. 😊 Palate: First sip's a proper kick o' cinnamon, then some fruity notes sneak in. Maybe apples or pears? Aye, it's smooth but with a spicy edge. 🥃 Finish: Long an' smoky, reminds me o' a bonfire. Leaves a warm glow in the throat. Not too bad, not too bad at all. 👍 But y'know, there's a subtle oakiness that lingers, like old furniture. Makes you think o' autumn walks. 🍂
