Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Nose: Rich caramel apple 🍎, with a hint of vanilla custard. A bit of smokiness in the background, like a distant bonfire. Palate: Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Sweet toffee up front, then a wave of toasted oak and baking spices (cinnamon?). A slight peppery kick 🔥. Finish: Fairly long, warming. The oak and spice linger, with a touch of dark chocolate bitterness coming thru. Overall: A solid, well-balanced dram. More on the sweet & spcy side than peaty. Easy to sip neat. 👍

Crikey, this whishky's got a proper smoky nose 🌫️, with a bit of spice that warms you right up. There's a sweet hint of honey and fruit, makes it dead smooth. 😋 Really enjoy the long finish, mate. 🔥

Tbh, the smell is kinda like walking through a damp autumn wood. 🌳 Got this subtle smokiness, not in-your-face, more like a distant campfire. Hints of honey and baked apples there too. 🍯🍎 Taste-wise? Oh wow. A bit of dark chocolate bitterness hits first, then it opens up to all these warm, spicy notes. Cinnamon, maybe? 🌶️ Gets all cozy in your mouth. Really well-balanced, innit. The finish is long and warming. Leaves a kinda sweet, leathery taste behind. 🥃 Really makes you wanna take another sip. Proper good stuff, this.

Just had a sip of this whisky, and it's got a real cozy warmth to it. Tastes like honey with a dash of cinnamon, smooth as anything. 🥃 A bit of fruitiness comes through too, kinda like apples. Leaves a nice, long finish. Really lovely, that. 😊

Oh this one's really nice, got a sweet caramelly taste 🍯 with a touch of spice. Quite smooth on the palate, a bit smoky too. 👍 Sometimes I notice some fruity notes like apple or pear. 🍏 It's a proper treat for a evening sip! 🥃

Had a whisky last night... teh aroma was like caramel and a bit of smoke, sorta cozy. 😊 Tasted it neat, the flavour hit with some fruitiness, maybe apples? And a nice warmth going down. Oof, the aftertaste lingered, kinda spicy but smooth. Perfect for winding down. 🥃 Sometimes I just sip and think, this is proper good.

Right, so this one's got a proper bit of smoke on it, innit? 🍂 Like a autumn bonfire, but then there's this lovely sweet layer underneath. Nose is all honey and a bit of dried fruit, like apricots maybe. First sip is... warm, got some nice spice. Bit of oak. Mid-palate it opens up with more of that fruity thing, maybe a bit of orange peel? And a touch of vanilla. Quite smooth, really. Finish is where the smoke comes back a bit, lingers nicely. Not too harsh, pretty easy drinking. 🥃 Fink it'd be good with a splash of water. Yeah, solid drop, that.
