Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, just pourd myself a wee dram 🥃. Nose is lovely, hint of honey and maybe some orchard fruit 🍎. Smells like autumn leaves too. Palate warms you up straight away. Bit of spice but not too much. Smooth as anything. Finish lingers nicely like a cozy fire 🔥. Leaves a warmth in the chest. Propr good for a rainy Tuesday. Colur is rich gold too. Realy enjoying this evening. Cheers 🍻.

Right, givin’ this a proper nosing… Stewed apple and a dust of cinnamon right off 🍎 Then a gentle wave of toffee and vanilla fudg, not too sweet mind. On the palate it’s equally soft—malty biscuit, a bit of honeyed porridge, and then a whisper of woodsmoke creeping in the back. Not peaty at all, more like embers in the hearth. Finish just lingers with dried sultanas and that warm oaky spice. Cozy stuff for a dreich evening 🔥🥃

Right, so first nosing got proper smoky 🔥 and a bit of that earthy, peaty thing. Smells like a damp autumn bonfire, you know? Then the taste... bloomin' lovely! Starts with a bit of honey and vanilla sweetness, then this big wave of spice and dark chocolate comes in. Quite rich, innit. After a sip, get these fruitly notes coming through. Maybe stewed apples? And a touch of oak. The finish is long and warm, with a lingering taste of toasted nuts and a bit of spice. Proper warming, that is. A lovely dram for a chilly evening. 🥃✨

Right then, just had a wee dram. Felt like crisp apples 🍎 and a bit of vanilla custard right off. Got this lovely smoky finish, like a bonfire in the distance. A proper autumn evening in a glass, that. 👍 Definitely some honey and toasted nuts coming through. Not too sharp, nice and smooth. Can taste a bit of dried fruit, maybe? Rich, like a good fruit cake. 🍰 The oak really comes through at the end, you know? A nice dry woody note. Makes you wanna have another sip. A good honest pour. 🥃

5#5

Aye, this one’s got a right proper smoky vibe, like a bonfire after rain 🔥. Then there’s some sweet fruity bits, maybe apple or pear, and a wee hint of honey 🍎🍯. Finish is smooth with a touch of spice, quite warming. Sometimes I taste a bit of chocolate too. Quite lovely for a evening dram, init? Oh, and a faint woody note lingers, luvly stuff.

Thats a proper complex dram that one, innit? Nose gets you right away – like autumn in a glass, yknow? Hints of honey and baked apple mixed with this lovely spicy warmth. Palate is all rich toffee and gentle smoke, maybe a touch of dried fruit? Feels like wearing a cozy jumper by the fire. Theres this creamy mouthfeel that just coats everything nicely. Finish hangs around ages – woody, slightly nutty, with that classic dry kick at the end. Really warms you up from the inside out. Maybe a bit too sophisticated for my usual Tuesday night pour, but blimey its satisfying when you fancy something proper fancy. 🥃✨ Just makes me wanna sit in a leather armchair with a good book, init?
