Gave this one a go last night 🥃 Gosh, that nose is proper bonkers. First hit's like a bonfire on a beach - get some seaweed 🌊 and a right whiff of damp earth. Then comes this sweet sticky toffee thing, but underneath there's this smoky, almost charred wood bit that hangs about. First sip is a bit of a shocker, if I'm honest! 😮 Very warming, almost spicy right down the throat. But then it sorta mellows out on the tongue... get some lovely dark fruit, maybe a bit of plum or somethin', mixed with this peatiness that's more like a smouldering log than a sharp smoke. It's a bit oily too, coats the mouth nicely. The finish is where it really sings though 🎶. That smokiness just lingers on and on, with a curious sort of salty tang, like you've been breathin' in sea air. There's a gentle sweetness there too, almost like vanilla, that tries to smooth it all out. It's a complex old beast, this one. Makes you think a bit. Overall? A proper winter warmer 🔥. Not for the faint-hearted, but bloomin' rewarding if you give it time. Got a bit of everything in there - smoke, sea, sweet, and spice. Lovely stuff.
