Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right, just poured a dram. 🥃 Nose is lovely, hint of smoke and pear 🍐. Taste warms you up, bit spicy but smooth. Finish lingers... reminds me of autumn leaves 🍂. Definitley proper good for a rainy nite. Nice colur too, deep gold. Might have another glass actually 😅.
Ah, the nose is all malty and peaty, with a bit of that smoky thing going on 🥃. So smooth on the tongue, really – a wave of fruity, maybe some citrus and apple? Definitley getting some oak and vanilla sweetness too. The finish is long, warming... a wee bit spicy with a lingering woody note. 🤔 Very pleasant, quite complex. Got that nice balance.
Ah, this one's got proper character, innit? 🥃 Right, so first off, there's a big, smoky, peaty punch – like sitting by a bonfire on a damp Scottish night. Then you get some sweetness creeping in, a bit like toffee or dark fruit... The finish? That's the best bit. It lingers, warm and spicy, with a hint of something nutty. Definitely one for sipping slow. 👍 Not a shy whisky, that's for sure. It's got a bit of a kick but in a good, complex way. Makes you want to go back for another taste. Some folks might find it a tad intense, but that's the beauty of it, yeah? A proper dram for a cold evening. 🌬️
