Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Aye, this one's got a proper smoky kick, like a cosy fire on a damp night. 🍂 The middle's all sweet with honey and a bit of apple, goes down smoth as. Finish leaves you warm and tingly, just right for a wee dram. 🥃

Ooh, that's a lovely nose. Getting a lot of apple and honey first off 🍯, then a bit of peaty smoke comes through. On the palate it's quite smooth, almost creamy. The vanilla and sherry notes are there, with a hint of dark chocolate. Maybe a bit of orange peel too? The finish is long and warming. Fades out gently with that malt sweetness and a lingering, gentle spice. Really nice. Would definitely have another dram.

Proper good this one, innit 🍯 First sip - nice an' nutty, like toasted almonds. Gets all honeyed after, wi' a bit of vanilla cream. Ah, there's a subtle spice kick, cinnamon I reckon. Reminds me of apple crumble, warm an' comforting. Finish is long an' smoky, but not too heavy. Leaves a lovely chocolatey taste, dark choc mind you. Mouthfeel is nice an' chewy, coats the tongue proper. Definitely a winter warmer, this. Fav when it's cold out.
