Port Ellen 1975 24 Years Single Malt Whisky

Right, just poured a glass. 🥃 Smells like christmas in a bottle, honest. Cinnamon n' dried peach 🍑. First sip... warm. Goes down smooth but theres a bit of spice at the back. Finish is long, makes you feel cosy inside. 🔥 Realy nice for a cold nite. Might have another wee dram.

Proper dram, this. 👌 Nose hits ye with a gentle waft of peat smoke – not the boggy kind, more like a bonfire on the beach. Sea salt an' a cheeky hint of honeyed nuts. On the palate… ooft. 😮‍💨 Sweet dried fruits burst in first – figs, maybe some apricot – then a lovely warm spice creeps in: cinnamon, a whisper of clove. The peat’s still there, but it’s mellow now, like embers after the rain. A wee bit of dark chocolate bitterness rounds it off proper. Finish is long an' cosy. Oak lingers, with a faint peppery tingle that makes ye want another sip straight away. No harshness, just a smooth, smouldering comfort. 🔥 Sláinte, mate.

Had a dram last night – smoky, a bit like a campfire, with some honey sweetness. Really smooth, not too harsh. 😋 Finish was long, with a touch of spice. Ace for a chilly evening! 🥃
