Craigellachie 2009 13 Years Single Malt Whisky

Right, had a wee dram tonight 🥃 Nose is proper smoky, like a cozy fire 🔥 Tasteing... sweet vanilla first, then spice kicks in. Finish is warm, lingers nicely. Quite plesant innit 👍 Defo having another glass.

Crikey, that's quite the nose! 🤩 First whiff is pure toffy and vanilla, like walking past a sweet shop. Getting a lot of creamy, oaky spice too... cinnamon, maybe nutmeg. On the tongue it's proper smooth, innit? That sherry sweetness is right up front – honey, syrupy. Then it gets all warm and spicy in the middle. Quite peppery. Hints of leather and a bit of smoke come through later. Dark chocolate, dried fruits... prunes? A dash of ginger. That oak is really nicely done. The finish is long and warm. More cinnamon, some orange peel and a lingering, lovely caramalised sugar taste. Like a toasted crumpet with all the toppings. Really rather moreish. 😋 A bit of a typo got in there but you get the gist! It's a proper winter warmer.

First whiff is all floral and a bit of vanilla, kinda like walking past a bakery in the morning. 🌸 Then you get this warm, spicy thing - think cinnamon and a touch of woody. Really coats the tongue nicely. 🥃 There's a bit of a smoky, peaty thing in the background, not too strong, just adds a bit of depth. Finish is long and honey-sweet with a hint of citrus. Bloomin' lovely, that is. 😊 Makes you want another sip straight away.
