Miyagikyo 12 Years Single Malt Whisky

Ah, this one’s a bit of a journey! 🥃 First off, the smell... lovely old oak and vanilla, with a bit of honey and something spicy, like cinnamon or nutmeg. A proper cozy dram. Tastes rich n’ fruity, like dried fruit and caramel. There’s a smoky thing there, a bit peaty and salty, reminds me of a bonfire by the sea. 🌊🔥 Finish is long and warming. A bit of ginger and black pepper, with that leather and tobacco note lingering. Very nice, very boozey. 👍 A really complex one, that. Makes you think.
