Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Alright, poured a glass earlier 🥃. Colour is rich, like amber innit. Nose is sweet... hint of vanila and honey. Smells proper nice. Taste... smooth going down. No burn realy. Just warmth in the chest. Little bit of oak at the finish. Makes you wanna sit by the fire 🔥. Defo one for a quiet night. Cheers mates 🍻.

Right then, let's have a wee taste… Nose is all warm toffee apple 🍎 and a whiff of bonfire smoke. Bit of honey'd pear in there too. Palate's surprisinly oily, coats the mouth lovely. Spice builds – ginger, cinnamon, maybe a touch of clove. That rich fruitcake vibe comes thru, dried peel and a whisper of old sherry cask 🍷. Finish is long an' proper cosy. Lingering campfire embers, a salty tang, and just a hint of dark chocolate bitterness. Cracking complexity, doesn't shout but leaves u thinkin. ✨

Ah, this whisky is brilliant! 😋 Got a real smokey kick, like a campfire in the countryside 🔥. Peaty notes come through, earthy and deep. Fruit flavours too – apples and maybe some pear 🍎🍐. Sweet with vanilla and honey, smooth as anything. A bit of spice and oak on the finish. Proper nice, that! 🥃

Smell first... a proper blast of campfire smoke, right? 🔥 Like standing near a bonfire on a chilly night. Then underneath, there's this lovely sweet toffee an' a hint of vanilla cream. The taste is smooth, a bit spicy on the tongue. Some fruity notes, like baked apple maybe? A good rich warmth. Finish is long, with a nice smoky linger an' a touch of dry oak. Quite pleasant, really. 👍

Right, poured a dram of this... proper interesting. First whiff? Smoky, yeah, like a damp bonfire on the coast. 🌊 Taste-wise, got a hit of honey, then some spicier notes. Maybe cinnamon? And a bit of toffee apple sweetness coming through. 🍎 Finish is long, warming. Leaves a bit of peatiness on the tongue. Quite something, this one. 👍

Ah, this one's proper lovely. Got a real warmth to it, like a cozy fireplace chat. 🥃 I'm gettin' notes of honey and maybe some dark chocolate, with a subtle smokiness in the background. Super smooth goin' down. Just a touch of spice on the finish – not too much, just enough to make ya want another sip. Perfect for unwindin' after work. 😊 Oh, and the smell is gorgeous too. Reminds me of autumn walks. 🍂

Right so... *sniffs* Gosh, that's smoky n peaty right off the bat, like a campfire aftermath 🔥 then there's this citrusy zing, orange peel maybe? with a bit of spicy warmth, cinnamon? 🍊 A lot goin on in the middle... sweet things, like stewed apple 🍎 n honey 🍯. Oh, and definitely vanilla, maybe some toffee or caramel too. It's pretty rich. Finishes kinda long and warming. Get some oak n a tiny bit of florl 🌸 note. Very smoov overall. Complex stuff, y'know? 🤔

Ooh, that's a proper one! 🥃 First hit is all smoky peat, like a bonfire 🔥 on the moors. Then comes this sweet, malty warmth... maybe some stewed apple and a bit of cinnamon? 🍯 Loads of sherry-cask fruitiness, aye. Dark cherries and that. It's got a bit of a salty tang too, like coastal air. Finish is long, warming, with a hint of leather and old wood. Proper winter warmer, this. Needs a drop of water to let it breathe. Smell it for ages before you even sip. 👍
