Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right then, had a wee dram of this tonight 🥃. Nose is proper nice. Vanilla and oak, reminds me of sunday roast kinda warmth. Taste? Warmth hits ye straight away. Spicey but sweet like honey 🍯. Gettin some pear or citrus notes too, kinda fresh. Finish lingers nicely. Perfect for this rainy wether 🌧️. Definately one to sip slow. Cheers.
Right then, poured a neat dram after work. 🥃 Nose is quite inviting, hints of vanilla and maybe some dried fruits? 🍇 Palate is smooth, got a bit of oak spice but nothing too mad. Finish lingers alittle, sweet like honey. 🍯 Proper nice for a quiet evening in. Definitly worth a try if you see it. 👍 Cheers! 🍻
Right, here’s the thing about this dram… nose hits ye first – ripe orchard fruit, almost squashed pears & a whiff of almond blossom 🌸 Then that first sip… ooft, syrupy bodied, like walm honey drizzled over toasted oats. A wee touch of cinnamon sneaks in, but it’s the gentle oak that wraps round yer tongue. Finish lingers, not too long but just enuff – soft pepper & a ghost of dried apricot. Feels like a quiet evening by the fire, no rush. 🥃 A proper uncomplicated comforter, this one. No edges, just easy drinkin.
This whisky's got a real smooth, smoky feel with hints of vanilla and a bit of spice. Quite pleasant for a quiet sip. 😌 Sometimes I get a touch of citrus too, makes it interesting. Really nice overall!
Right, this whisky – proper smoky and peaty, like a bonfire by the sea. Get some fruity notes too, apples and pears, with a touch of honey. Finishes with a nice spicy warmth. 🥃😊 A bit of a typo here: smokyness and fruitty to keep it real. Cheers!
Ooh that's lovely init 😊 Nose is full of honey and vanilla, maybe a bit of orange peel? Super inviting First sip - proper smooth, like velvet on your tongue. Gettin some nice toffee notes, maybe a bit of cinnamon spice too Then theres this gentle warmth that just wraps round you, like a cozy blanket on a cold night 🥃 Mid palate picks up some fruit - apple? pear? cant quite place it but its nice Finish is long and warming, bit of oakyness lingers which i proper enjoy Honestly just sittin here with this dram, feelin quite content 😌 Would defo reach for this again on a rainy evening in, maybe with a wee bit of dark chocolate Easy drinking but still got some character to it, ya know?
Right, so this whisky hits you with a real smoky kick first – like a campfire by the sea. 🏕️🌊 Then there's a lovely touch of honey and a bit of fruity tang, maybe apple or something. 🍎🍯 It goes down smooth, but leaves a warm, spicy finish. Really moreish on a cold evening. 😊
Alright, just nosed it. Smells like a walk in an autumn orchard 🍎, apples and pears, with some honey coming thru. There's a nice woody bit too, like an old oak box. First sip... smooth as you like 😊. Tastes of those stewed fruits, a bit of vanilla custard, maybe a touch of nutmeg. Gets a bit spicy towards the end, lovely. The finish is reqlly long. Warm and comforting, like sitting by the fire. Leaves a pleasant, slightly dry, oaky taste. Really smashing, this one. 🥃 Definitely one to savour.
"🍯 Honeyed taffy with a dash of cinnamon. Kinda like that pear drop sweet ya get at the seaside 🍬. Got some nice orange peel bitterness in there too. Oh, and there's a proper kick of black pepper at the end, surprising but good. Just a hint of peat smoke, like a distant bonfire on a chilly night 🔥. Really smooth, that. 🍊"
Right, so poured meself a nice dram tonight 🥃 First thing I get on the nose is loads of vanilla and caramel, proper rich stuff. Bit of toffee and dark chocolate too, really warming. Then on the palate... oof. Got this lovely honey sweetness, some dried fruit comin through - think raisins and figs maybe. There's a wee bit of cinnamon spice there too, not too much though, just enough to keep it interestin 🤌 Mouthfeel is dead smooth, like velvet or summit. Really coats the tongue nicely. The finish is where it gets proper good though. All that smoky, woody character comes out - like a campfire mixed with orange peel. Lingers for absolute ages, I'm still tastin it now innit 😮💨 Honestly one of those whiskys that just makes you go "ahhh" after every sip. Perfect for a cold night like tonite. Would deffo recommend for anyone who likes em rich and fruity with a bit of smoke 💯 Notin else to say really, just... *chef's kiss* ✨
