Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right then, had a proper glass last night. Smells like a bonfire, mate – all that lovely smoke and peat. 🤔 First sip? Quite sweet, surprising really. Vanilla and honey coming through strong. Then… oof, a nice wave of spice. Cinnamon maybe? The mouthfeel is thick, creamy almost. Then it just… sits there. That warm glow just hanging about for ages. 🔥 Could taste some dried fruit, or was it cherries? 🍒 Finished with a bit of wood, like licking an oak barrel. In a good way, like. Paired it with a square of dark chocolate – top choice. 👌 All in all, a right proper winter warmer.

Right then, tried this whisky. 🥃 It's got a lovely smoky note, like a campfire on a crisp autumn night, mixed with some sweet honey and a hint of dried fruit. Quite warming, really. 😊 Sometimes a bit of oak and vanilla comes through, making it feel cozy. Perfect for a quiet evening in. The aftertaste lingers, a bit spicy but smooth. 👍

Right then, first sniff – got that lovely smoky beat, like a campfire on the moors. 🥃 A bit of apple and some honey coming through too. On the palate, it's proper warming. Caramel, maybe some toffee, and a dash of vanilla. There's a citrusy zing there as well, keeps it lively. The finish? Long and a bit leathery, with a hint of spice. Really rather good, that. A solid dram for a chilly evening.

Alright, so I was sipping this one last night... Nose is really inviting. Got a lot of sweet caramel and maybe some orchard fruit? Like baked apples. 🍯🍎 First sip, there's a lovely warmth. Tastes of honey and a bit of vanilla, with a nice kick of spice towards the end. Some subtle oak notes too. Finish is long and warming. Reminds me of a cozy evening, definately. 🥃 A bit of ginger or cinnamon lingers. Really balanced, not too sharp. Quite moreish.
