Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Nose gives off quite a heavy peatiness, kind of like damp earth after rain 🔥, then some sweet honey and vanilla comes through. Palate is oaky with a bit of spice kick, maybe cinnamon? Quite a complex flava. There's a subtle smokiness that lingers. Finish is long, warming. Hints of dried fruit and a touch of chocolate. Really enjoyin' this one, proper autumn dram. 🍁 A bit rough round the edges but in a good way, ya know? Definitley something to sip slowly.

Oh blimey, this one's proper lovely! 🥃 First thing I get is this beautiful apple and pear sweetness, like walkin' through an orchard in autumn 🍎🍐 Then there's a wiff of smoke, not too heavy mind you, just enough to keep ya interested. Quite peaty actually, reminds me of a bonfire on the beach 🔥 Ooh and vanilla custard notes, creamy an smooth. Maybe a touch of caramel too? Definately getting some honey sweetness as it settles 🍯 Cinnamon spice kicks in halfway thru, lovely warmth innit. Quite malty as well, proper cereal vibes goin on 🌾 Bit of sherry influence I reckon, dark fruits n that. There's also this leather and oak thing happenin in the background, very sophistocated 🪵 Finish is long an earthy, with some herbal notes poppin up. Nutty too perhaps? Honestly mate, this is a cracking dram. Really well balanced init 👌 Would absolutely have another glass of this after work. Proper comfort whisky that is! 😊

First sip: a real smoky punch, like a campfire on a chilly night. 🥃🔥 Then it mellows into honey and a bit of spice. Quite enjoyble, realy warms the cockles. 👍😊 Got a hint of fruitiness too, maybe apples or pears? Nice balance, realy smooth finish. Perfect for a quiet evening. 🍐✨

Ooh, right, this whisky's got a real nice warmth to it. Tastes like baked apples and a bit of honey, with a smoky kick at the end. 🥃 Really smoth and easy to sip. Love the way it lingers. 😋

Right, so this whisky... the flavor bits are all over the shop! 🤔 Tastes like a mix of honey and smoke, with a cheeky bit of citrus. 🍯🔥 Got a smooth, creamy feel, and ends with a warm, spicy kick. Proper nice, innit? 😋 (Used 'carml' for caramel sometimes, hope that's clear!) 🥃

Oh wow, just poured a dram and here goes... 🥃 Right, so the nose is dead nice - loads of honey and some vanilla coming thru, bit of oak there too. Smells like someone's baked a cake in a barn lol On the palate... 🤔 Getting proper butterscotch and toffee vibes, some cinnamon spice that's quite warming actually. There's a bit of citrus and apple in there too, maybe some dried fruit from the sherry cask? Not sure but it's lush The finish is where it gets interesting - quite long tbh, getting some leather and a bit of earthy peat smoke. Hints of chocolate and caramel lingering Honestly it's quite well balanced init. The spice from the ginger doesn't overpower the sweeter notes. There's deffo some malt and biscuity flavours in the background too Would say it's more of an autumn/winter dram like, proper warming stuff 🔥 the mouthfeel is nice n creamy, bit of that nutty character coming thru aswell Overall? Pretty solid pour imo, wouldnt say no to another glass 😄

Right, so this whisky is proper lush, innit? 🥃 First whiff, got this smokey peat vibe, but sweet too, like toffee apples. Then on the tounge, a bit of spice - cinnamon maybe? - with some fruity bits, kinda plummy. Finish is long and warming, slightly dry. Cheers! 😊

Right so had a wee dram of this last nite and honestly? proper impressed 🥃 Nose - got this gorgeos smoky thing straight away, mixed w/ vanilla and caramel. Kinda like a bonfire in the distance but sweet? if that makes sense lol Palate - oh mate it's so smooth. Honey, dark fruits (raisins, figs), bit of chocolate, and there's this saltiness that creeps in too which I really like. Getting some spice at the back - cinnamon I reckon, maybe nutmeg? And this butterscotch sweetness that just lingers and lingers 👌 Finish - long and warm. Oak and leather come through, gentle peatyness (is that a word? 😂), touch of citrus like dried orange peel. Definately a cold evening whisky. The kind you sip slow and savour. Makes you feel all cozy inside ☺️ Would pour another one right now if I could tbh! 🤤

9#9

This whisky's got a right proper nose, innit? 🥃 First off, a whiff of smokiness, kinda like a cozy fireplace, but with a sweet undercurrent, maybe honey or caramel. On the palate, it's smooth as a river stone, with a bit of spice kickin' in – think cinnamon or ginger. There's a fruity note too, like stewed apples or pears. Finish is long and warm, leavin' you with a lovely glow. 😊 Really hits the spot on a chilly evening! Just a top dram, no fancy frills, just good honest flavour.
