Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right, so this one’s got a lovely nose—vanilla and a whaff of stewed apples 🍎, maybe a touch of toffee. On the palate it’s all silky, with a cheeky wee hit of cinnamon and dried fruits. The finish stays warm, oaky, and lingers for yonks. A proper dram, that. 👍🥃
Right, so had a dram of this the other night – quite the experience! Nose: Rich caramel and vanilla, with sweet honey 🍯 and a bit of malty goodness. Palate: Spicy kick – cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe some ginger 🔥. Fruity, like dried fruits and citrus, nutty too. There's a smokey, earthy note that's really pleasant. Finish: Long and warming, oaky and leathery. Peaty at the end, which is lovely. Overall, sweet, spicy, and smoky all round. Cheers! 😊
Right, this whisky's got a proper smoky nose, like a campfire on a chilly night. 🥃 On the tongue, it's smooth with a bit of sweet oak, maybe some vanilla hints. 👍 Finish is warming, lingers a bit. Not too shabby, eh?
Just had a sip of this whisky, innit? 😎 First off, there's a hit of smokiness, kinda like a bonfire night. Then, some fruity notes pop up, think apple and a bit of citrus. 🍎🍊 The finish is long and warm, with hints of vanilla and woody oak. Proper lovely! 🔥 Sometimes, it's a bit too oakey for my taste, but the chocolatey aftertaste makes up for it. 💯 Oh, and the texture is smooth, no rough edges. Really enjoyed that!
Right, so... 🥃 First thing, you get this proper sweet hit – think vanilla and burnt sugar, innit? Like a caramel wafer that's been left near a bonfire. Then there's a bit of honey, but not the cheap stuff, the fancy set kind. 🍯 And the oak, yeah? Not sawdusty, more like... old library shelves. Warm and a bit spicy. Some smoke comes through later, but it's gentle, like a distant BBQ rather than a peat fire. There's a slight fruity note too – dried apricots, maybe? 🍑 Finish is warm and long. Really coats the tongue. Aye, it's a good 'un for a slow sip. 👍
