Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
kinda like a warm hug in a glass, y'know? a bit of honey and apple, then... woah! 🍎 a spicy kick hits ya. feels like a cozy fireplace chat... maybe a tad too fiery sometimes 🔥 oaky finish lingers, kinda reminds me of old books n' dried leaves 📖 nose: soft caramel & a hint of citrus peel, like... half an orange left on the counter 🍊 palate: boom! black pepper jumps out, then mellows into some vanilla pod 🤗 finish: long, kinda dusty... like walking through an autumn forest 🌲 honestly, it's a bit of a rollercoaster... one sip is all Christmas spice, the next is just straight-up smoke 💨 tastes like... like someone spilled some rum into a gingerbread batter? that lingering warmth is proper nice though, perfect for a rainy day ☔️ reminds me of those sticky toffee puddings my nan used to make 🍮
Right then. Nose is all warm honey and a bit of that old library oakiness, innit? 🥃 First sip... kinda spicy, like cinnamon, but it mellows quick into this lush, raisiny sweetness. Y’know, like a proper fruit cake. Finish lingers, a gentle smokiness like distant bonfires on an autumn night. Comfortin’, that. Texture’s proper lush too, coats the tongue nicely. Really moreish stuff. 👍
Alright, so this one... starts with a proper kick of smoke and spice, almost like standing by a bonfire. 🌶️ Then it mellows out into something sweet and fruity—maybe some orange peel or dark chocolate? Very warming on the throat. A bit of that classic oak and vanilla coming through later, you know, that lovely aged taste. Not too sharp, just smooth. Oh, and a hint of something floral? Like heather or fresh herbs. Quite complex, but in a good way. 👍 A smashing dram for a chilly evening. Cheers! 🥃
