Smögen 2014 WhDr

Right, so had a sip of this earlier 🥃. Lovely amber colour. Nose is warm, like honey and vanilla 🍯. Gets you in the mood straight away. Taste is smooth, bit of spice 🔥. Reminds me of sitting by the fire on a cold night ❄️. Finish lingers, propr pleasant. Bit of fruitiness too, maybe pear 🍐. Dont need much else really. Just a good dram to unwind with. Cheers 🍻.

Blimey, this whisky's got a real kick 🥃🔥 First sniff? Like walkin' through a autumn orchard, all apples n' pears 🍎🍐 but with a hint of smoke, you know? Tastes smooth as anything, a bit o' honey 🍯 an' maybe some vanilla. Not too sharp, just right for a evenin' sip. The finish lingers, warm an' cozy, like a proper hug 🤗. Quite enjoyin' this one, mates! A slight note - found it a tad sweety at teh end, but no complaints 😋

Right then, just had a proper sip and here's what I'm getting... 🥃 Nose: Quite a lot of honey and vanilla at first, then some lovely dried fruit comes through - raisins, sultanas, that sort of thing. A bit of citrus peel lurking in the background 🍊 Palate: Really smooth, nice and oily mouthfeel. Getting some toffee and butterscotch, maybe a touch of cinnamon spice? There's definitely some malty cereal notes and a hint of dark chocolate 🍫 Finish: Medium length, warming. The smoke finally shows up at the end - not too heavy mind you, just enough to balance things out. Some oakiness there too 🌰 Overall: Quite pleasant, easy drinking. Would happily have another dram of this on a cold evening. Cheers! 🥂
