Caol Ila 1991 17 Years Single Malt Whisky

Okay so I just had a dram and here's what I got: 🍯 First thing on the nose - vanilla and honey, proper lovely. Then there's a bit of smoke creeping in, like a campfire in autumn 👃 Getting some caramel and toffee notes too, very warming Palate-wise - oh wow 🤤 Smooth like velvet, sweet at first then the oak comes through. There's definitley some dried fruit in there, maybe raisins or dates? And a touch of spice, cinnamon I think 🍫 The chocolate notes hit later, rich and dark. Quite complex tbh Finish is long and warm 🔥 hints of tobacco and dark fruits lingering about. Really satisfying Overall very well balanced, the smokiness isn't overdone and the sweet notes play nicely with the oak. Would def have another glass 🥃 Altogether rather enjoyable!
