Port Dundas 2004 12 Years Single Grain Whisky

Aye, this one’s a proper sipper 👌 Nose is all honey’d sweetness, touch of heather and orchard fruit – think ripe pears, maybe a whiff of green apple. Palate’s gentle, light citrus zest with a wee gingery tingle that warms the cheeks. Gets a bit waxy, almost oily in the mouthfeel, then the oak creeps in with a nudge of dark chocolate. Finish is nutty, warm, and clings on for a good while — not a peat bomb at all, more of an easy afternoon dram. Spot on with a splash of water too, opens up the fruitiness lovely. 🥃

Okay, so... it's definately got a lovely warmth to it, innit? A bit of honey 🍯 and maybe some stewed fruit right at the start. Then, this smoky thing comes through, like a distant bonfire 🔥. Leaves a real nice, warming feel in the chest. Proper comforting, that is. 👍
