Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Proper dram this. Nose is awash wi’ smoked grain, a bit of nutty sweet vanila, and a wee coastal whiff 🌊. Palate hits that oily, creamy toffee note right off — then cocoa, a touch of fennel, and a peppery zip. There’s a whisper of tea and something almost herbal. Finish lingers, warm spice and citrus zest, with an oaky, slightly salty tang. Not overly complex, but dead comfy. 🔥🥃 Sláinte.

Ah, this whisky's got a lovely smoky vibe, like a cozy bonfire. Touch of honey and some vanilla notes too, makes it proper smooth. Spicy kick at the end, kinda peppery. Really enjoyin' it, mate! 🥃👃

Mate, this whisky is proper lush. 👍 It's got a smooth start with a bit of sweetness, like honey and vanilla. Then there's a smokey note that creeps in, not too strong, just enough to make it interesting. 🤤 The finish is long and warm, with a hint of spice and oak. Really satisfying after a long day. 😊

Right, so this whisky has a lovely smoky vibe 🔥, with some fruity notes – apples and pears, maybe. A bit of spice on the finish, like cinnamon or nutmeg. Quite smooth and a tad sweet. Really enjoyable, that. 😊 Oh, and a hint of caramel or honey, def warming. 👍

Ahh, this one’s a real cozy dram, innit? 🍂 First thing that hits ya is this rich, malty sweetness – bit like golden syrup drizzled over warm porridge. Then comes a lovely wave of creamy vanilla custard and a hint of burnt toffee. Very moreish. Wait, there’s some gentle smoke in there too – not like a bonfire, more like… smouldering embers in an old stone fireplace. And is that a bit of orange peel? Yeah, dried orange peel with some dark chocolate shavings. Nice. Finish is warming, stays on ya tongue ages. Some nuttiness comes through, like roasted almonds. Makes ya wanna just sit in a comfy chair with a good book. Overall, bloody lovely sippin’ whisky for a chilly evenin’. ☕️
