Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a wee dram of this earlier. 🥃 Nose is proper smoky, like a bonfire on the beach. 🏖️ Taste... sweet at first, honeycomb maybe? Then that peat hits you. Finish is long, warming the chest nicely. 🔥 Got a bit of a bite on the tonge though. Perfect for a rainy Tuesday. 🌧️ Would definetly pour another. 👌

Right, had a wee dram of this last night. 🥃 Nose is proper lovely... hint of smoke and honey maybe? 🍯 Palate feels warm, bit spicy like cinnamon. 🌶️ Finish lingers nicely. Dont know what else to say really. Good stuff for a rainy evening. 🌧️ Definately worth a try if you like something robust. Cheers! 🍻

Right, this whisky's bloody lovely. 🥃 First hit is all warm caramel, almost burnt sugar. Then... a whisper of oak and some soft vanilla. Ah, and there's a wee hint of spice at the end - cinnamon maybe? Leaves your mouth feeling smooth, not harsh. The smokiness is just a gentle back note, like a dying fire. Pretty damn good for a cozy night in. 👍

Nose's a bit of a journey, init? First you get this hit of... like, sweet citrus and maybe some heather? Then it kinda morphs into a warmer, spicier thing. 🍯 On the palate, it's proper creamy, mate. But then you get this wave of... idk, dried fruit? And a little bit of that woody, charred note. Quite complex. 👍 The finish lingers, like. A nice warmth, with some gentle spice and a touch of vanilla sweetness. Really quite moreish. Honestly, it's a good dram for a chilly evening. 👌

Smells like baked apples & a hint of toffee from the knowse. 🍎 Tastes proper smooth with some spice and oak on the finish. Bit of dark chocolate there too. Really warms ye up on a cold night. 🌙

Well, this whisky's got a real nice smokiness, with some fruity hints like apple and a bit of honey. It feels smooth and warming on a chilly evenin'. Really enjoy the aftertaste too! 🥃😊 Sometimes, a little spice comes through, but it's all balnced out. Perfect for relaxin' by the fire. 🍂
