Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, poured a glass earlier. 🥃 Smells like honey and dried fruit, proper nice. 🍯 Taste is smooth, no harshness at all. Gets a bit warm in the chest, comforting like. 🔥 Definatly one for a quiet evening. 🌙 Makes you feel cosy innit. Cheers mates! 🍻

Right, just had a wee dram of this. 🥃 Nose is warm, smells like vanila and old wood. 🪵 First sip is smooth, bit of spice then sweet like toffee. 🍬 Finish lingeres quite long, makes me feel proper relaxed. Good stuff for a quiet nite. 🌙 Reckon I'll have another. 😌

Right, this one’s a proper puzzle but in the best way. Nose hits first wi’ this warm, worn-leather thing, then a wee whiff of iodine – like a seaside rock pool, no a bad thing. 🥃 Then comes baked honey, not the runny sort, more like that set honey you spread thick. There’s a nutty drift too, almond maybe, an a hint of that earthy, mushroomy forest floor after rain. 🍯🍂 Palate’s where it gets lush – oily an rich, dark toffee, stewed figs, an this slight salted caramel vibe that dances on the tongue. Mid-sip there’s a kick of ginger an black pepper that keeps it lively. Finish is long, gentle smoke an a wee dryness like strong black tea, leavin a warm glow. ✨ Cracking dram. Feels like sittin in an old library armchair by the fire. Could sip this all night. (Typos intentional: “no a bad thing”, “leavin”, “an” instead of “and” – just how I’d text a mate.)

Aright, first off, the nose is proper smoky, innit? 🎆 Got that peat fire vibe, but not too harsh. Then there's a bit of fruitiness, like baked apples or summat. 🍎 On the taste, it's warming, with a spicy kick – maybe cinnamon or pepper. 🌶️ Finish is long, leaves a sweet, honeyish aftertaste. 🍯 Not bad for a dram, quite enjoyble realy. 😋

Right then, poured myself a dram. Nose: 🍯 Marmalade and a bit of old leather, like a dusty library. Palate: Zesty! Orange peel right off, then it gets all creamy, like vanilla custard. A little kick of ginger at the back. Finish: Long and warming, with a lingering taste of dark chocolate and a bit of toasted oak. Quite moreish, that. Proper good, this.
