Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, tasting this whisky... first thing I get is a strong oakey flavour, like old barrels. Then some vanella comes through, sweet and a bit creamy. 🔥 The smokiness hits the nose, not too overpowering, just a gentle waft. There's a spicy kick too, maybe cinnamon or nutmeg. Fruity notes pop up, think apples or pears. 🍯 Finish is all honey and caramel, lingers nicely. Quite moreish, if I'm honest. The peat's there but not dominent, just adds depth. Overall, it's a proper experiance – complex but balanced. Cheers! 🥃

Hmm... this one's a bit tricky to place 🤔 Got some oaky vanilla, kinda sweet an' warm. A little bit of citrus peel maybe? Or is it more like... hmm... dried fruit? Ah, there's a bit of a spicey kick at the end. Not too much, just a gentle warmth. Definately one for sippin' slowly, maybe by the fire. 🥃 Overall, quite smooth an' a bit fruity, I'd say.

Woah, that's a right proper whiff of peat! 🌬️ First thing I get is campfire smoke, like a bonfire on the beach at dusk. Then comes this lovely, creamy vanilla and butterscotch, mate. 💛 The finish is long... got some dark chocolate and a hint of black pepper, init? Aye, it's a bold one, but lovely smooth going down. 👍

Just had a dram and wow, what a ride 🥃 First hit is all sweet vanilla and honey, kinda like butterscotch on a rainy day. Then this lovely smoky peat rolls in – not too aggressive, just warming ya from the inside out 🌧️ There's a wee bit of apple and pear in there too, which is nice. Keeps it from being too heavy, y'know? Spicy cinnamon kick at the end, maybe some ginger? Hard to tell sometimes aye Finish is proper long and warming, leaves this gorgeous creamy feeling. Oaky and slightly nutty, almost like dark chocolate lingers on the tongue 🍫 Honestly? It's one of those whiskies that makes you wanna sit by the fire and just... be. Proper comfort in a glass that is 👌
