Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a wee dram earlier. 🥃 Nose is proper smoky, like peat fire n damp wood. 🔥 Tasteing it... warm honey, then bit of spice kicks in. Feels smooth going down, no burn really. Finish lasts ages, leaves you feelin cozy. 🪑 Definately one for quiet nights in. Cheers. 🍻

Right, had a dram tonight 🥃. Smells like honey and a bit of smoke 🍯🌫️. Hints of orange peel maybe 🍊. Taste is warm, smooth going down. Leaves a cosy feeling in the chest 🔥. Proper nice for a rainy evening. Might have anothr glass 😅.

Crikey, that's a proper nice dram. 🥃 Frist sip's got this lovely warm vanilla hit, then... oof, a bit of citris and maybe some baked apple? Quite smooth going down, not harsh at all. It's got a bit of smokiness in the background, mind you, not overpowering. Feels like a hug in a glass. Hmm, after a minute, get some woodsy notes and a hint of dark chocolate. Proper complex, this one. Sláinte! 🍻

Pouring this one... first thing hits ya is vanilla sweetness 🍯, like those little yellow cakes. Then comes oak tannin, a bit drying. Smoky notes swirl around, but not a campfire – more like toasted wood. Peat is there, earthy n grounded. Fruity hints sneak through, maybe apple or citrus. On the tongue, caramel n honey coat everything. Lingering spice, like a cinnamon stick fell in. Some say lil choclate too, dark type. Finishes with a peppery kick, then fades to that comforting warmth. 😌

Mmm, love this one 🥃 Get a lovely hit of smoke first, kinda campfire-ish but not too heavy. Then there's this nice honey sweetness that just rolls over the tongue, like proper golden syrup. Bit of apple and vanilla coming through, maybe some cinnamon too? Very smooth 👌 Finish is long and warm, leaves you with a nice oaky sort of feeling. Proper autumn dram this, sit by the fire vibes 🍂 Could nose this all day honestly

Oh, that first sip... quite the journey. It’s like stepping into an old wooden cabin, right by the fire. A strong scent of... well, damp oak and maybe a hint of leather? 🪵 Then, this gentle sweetness creeps in, kinda like honey mixed with dried fruit. Not overly sugary, mind you. 🍯 There’s a proper smoky backbone to it, like peat smoke on a crisp autumn day. A bit warming on the way down. 💨 And a final little kick of spice... black pepper? It keeps things interesting. A right proper, complex wee dram. 👌

Right, had a dram of this one tonight... 🔥 First whiff - got lemon zest and green apple, like walking past a fruit stand in the morning. 🍋🍏 Then it kinda opens up, you know? Like a spoonful of runny honey with some vanilla custard. Properly comforting. 🍯 There's a bit of smoke in there, but not bonfire smoke - more like, toasting bread over a campfire? And def some ginger spice at the back. 🍞🫚 Mouthfeel's nice and creamy. Leaves you with this sort of nutty, almost marzipan finish that lingers. 🥜 Easy to sip, not too challenging. Would happily have another after this one. 👍
